What We Learned From Visiting Disney Multiple Times

There’s something so special about a Disney World vacation and for our family, it’s become a tradition filled with memories I’ll never forget and a little bit of magic each time. We’ve now visited three times, and while every trip feels different, one thing remains the same: Disney is truly an escape. My husband and I have always been big kids at heart, and now getting to experience that joy through our boys makes it even more meaningful. Through each visit, we’ve learned a few things that have completely changed the way we plan and enjoy our trips.

One of the biggest game changers? Staying on property. If you’re debating the best Disney resort for kids or wondering if it’s worth it…my answer is always yes. Choosing the best Disney World hotel, there are so many, on-site gives you early park access and, on select days, extended evening hours. That alone helps you beat the crowds and maximize your time. Plus, the convenience of transportation and being immersed in the Disney experience 24/7 just makes everything smoother, especially as a mom traveling with young kids.

We’ve stayed at Disney All Star Sports, Disney Coronado Springs, and Disney All Star Movies.

Another must-have for us has been MagicBands. They simplify everything, from linking your Disney World tickets to making purchases and even unlocking your hotel room. But beyond convenience, they add a little extra magic for the kids. Watching their bands light up during the fireworks or interact with attractions throughout the park is one of those small details that makes the experience feel unforgettable.

Now let’s talk strategy, because if you know, you know: Lightning Lane is non-negotiable! Every single trip, we’ve made it a priority to grab Lightning Lane passes early. We get to the parks right when they open, book our first three rides, and knock out major attractions before noon. It completely changes your day and cuts down wait times significantly. We even get to go back to the room for lunch and a nap because we accomplished so much in the am. If you’re planning your own Disney World vacation, this is one tip I would never skip.

And lastly, don’t forget, Disney isn’t the only magic in the area. There are so many things to do in Orlando Florida, from exploring Disney Springs to checking out nearby attractions if you want a break from the parks. But no matter how many times we go, Disney continues to be a place where joy lives, memories are made, and for a little while, everything just feels lighter. I look forward to continuing this tradition with my boys for years to come, because moments like these are what it’s all about.
