Making My House a Home Game Room DIY Rock Climbing Wall

We’re making this house a home and I wanted to ensure that when we moved into this house, the most important spaces were the first for me to tackle. So I wanted to ensure that the boys game room was perfect. So adding in a DIY rock climbing wall was the best way to get this room set up for my boys to have the best days, everyday.

What I used to create the DIY rock climbing wall

It was actually pretty simple when it came to this wall. I purchased a climbing wall kit and 4×8 plywood. 

I’ve got a full video here on how I put it together and I felt like a true bob the builder and everyone that has come to experience this room thus far has thoroughly enjoyed it. Thats exactly what I wanted for this room.

There were many other pieces to this game room that made it the perfect game room/ hang out spot for the kids and that was the ball pit right beneath the wall. This was a must as my boys are rough and love to jump off of things, I knew that them jumping off the wall would be in the cards so adding this fun element with the ball pit was a much. 

My husband and I already had arcade games so this was essential for this room. I then added an organization section for the kids’ toys, because they have so many. It was so needed to keep this space organized and neat. I added labels to the buckets so the boys know exactly where each piece goes and we can keep the room nice and neat.
